a COMPLETE M1918 Marlin Rockwell receiver, never moded to A2. Has the Ordnance corp 'Flaming bomb' stamp along side the 'Eagel head' acceptance stamp but no other non-factory markings. Torch cut in in 3 places and split in to 5 pieces, this must have been an un-issued rifle as the bluing is in pristine shape.
This is from the secondMarlin Rockwell contract, as the serial number is 256*47, and it reads 'Browning Automatic Rifle' instead of 'Browning Machine Rifle' and has the 'mystery' patent date, not the 'Patent Applied for' markings on every other Military BAR. It also has a W stamped on the inside of the Gas Tube receiver, could this be a Winchester Produced, Marlin Stamped receiver?
