This is the earliest version of the M1918a2 buttplate.  It is a M1918 buttplate with the shoulder support welded on.  Correct buttplate for early WWII BARs with wooden stocks.  Also fits Plastic stocks  Has trap door and marked C4042 and W for Winchester on the trap door
